Paid advertising on Facebook and Instagram for a small business
Most small businesses arrive at paid advertising after they already publish posts and feel they are talking to a wall. This page is a decision guide: when it is worth paying for reach at all, how much budget you need, and how to compare offers. And let us say it up front: in Kampi, paid campaign management is exactly what separates the Pro and Extra plans from the Basic plan. The Basic plan runs the whole organic system, the Pro plan adds a full paid campaigns center you run from the board, and the Extra plan adds capacity on top of Pro. The organic content is what determines whether the money you put on media will work, which is why it is the foundation of every plan.
When to move from organic posts to paid
An organic post reaches mostly people who already know you. That is excellent for keeping in touch, for reminding people you exist, and for building trust over time. The problem starts when you want new people, who have never heard of you, to see you. There the organic stops, and money is the only way through that wall.
The clearest sign that it is time for paid is when you already have content that works. If there is a post people responded to, asked about, or called because of, that is exactly the material worth pushing budget behind. The reverse is also true. If you do not yet have any content that sparks a response, an advertising budget will buy you reach for a message that does not work yet, and that is waste.
A second sign is seasonality. A promotion, an event, a branch opening, end of season. In those cases you do not have three months to wait for the organic to catch, and you need reach in a defined window. There paid is the right tool, even for a very small business.
Our practical recommendation is not to drop the organic when moving to paid. The campaign brings new people to the page, and what they see there is your regular posts. An empty page, or a page whose last post is from half a year ago, cancels out a large part of the budget you invested.
- You have content that already sparked a response, and you want to take it further
- There is a real deadline, like a promotion or an event, and no time to wait for organic
- You are reaching a new audience that does not know your name
- The page itself is active, so whoever lands on it sees a living business
How much media budget you need for it to work
First of all it is important to separate two completely different amounts. There is the media budget, which is the money you pay directly to Meta for the reach, and it comes off the payment method connected to your ad account. And there is the Kampi fee, which is a separate subscription for the Basic, Pro or Extra plan. Even when the Pro or Extra plan manages the campaign for you, we do not take a percentage of the budget and do not broker the payment to Meta. The budget stays a direct matter between you and Meta.
As for the size, there is no magic number and we will not invent one for you. What can be said with certainty is that Meta requires a minimum daily budget per ad set, and the amount varies by campaign type and currency. Below that threshold the campaign simply will not run. Beyond that, the practical rule is that a very low budget spread over many days and over too broad an audience produces a trickle of impressions that is hard to learn anything from.
So it is better to start focused. A modest budget for a short period, on one clear message and one audience, will tell you more than the same amount smeared over a whole month and three audiences. After seeing what happened, you can set up another campaign with what you learned.
And the important separation: the Kampi subscription is for the system itself, whether the organic Basic plan or the Pro and Extra plans that include paid management. In all cases we do not take a percentage of any media budget, so the money you put on reach stays a matter between you and Meta.
- The media budget is paid directly to Meta from your ad account
- Meta has a minimum daily budget per ad set, by campaign type and currency
- A short and focused period beats the same amount smeared over a month
- Our subscription is not affected by the budget size, and we do not take a percentage of it
How much paid campaign management costs, and how to compare offers
Here you have to be careful, because a lot of numbers with no source float around the internet. We did not run a price survey and will not present a market table as if it were fact. What can be said is how pricing is structured with different providers, what to ask before signing, and exactly how much it costs with us.
An ad agency usually charges a fixed monthly retainer, and sometimes also a percentage of the media budget. A freelancer usually charges a monthly amount, but the availability and depth depend on one person. There is also the option of doing everything yourself in Meta's ads manager, where you pay only for the media, and pay in time and learning. Kampi is none of the three: it is a fixed subscription in three plans. The Basic plan is a board for organic content, the Pro plan adds paid campaign management, with no percentage of the media budget, and the Extra plan adds on top of Pro up to 3 connected accounts of each channel type and 250MB of My media storage.
Because the price at an agency and at a freelancer varies widely by scope of work, we will not present ranges here. The only way to know what it will cost you is to ask for a quote and verify exactly what it includes. Ask how many campaigns a month are included, how many new creatives are produced, whether a percentage of the media budget is charged, and what happens when you need more than the quota. Two offers that look similar in price can be very far apart in scope.
Our prices, on the other hand, are fixed, public and the same for every customer, with no negotiation. The Basic plan, which runs the organic system: a month 149 shekels, three months 399, half a year 700, a year 1,250. The Pro plan, which adds paid campaign management, is exactly double: a month 298, three months 798, half a year 1,400, a year 2,500. The Extra plan, which adds capacity on top of Pro: a month 447, three months 1,199, half a year 2,100, a year 3,750. Everything is paid up front for the whole period, with no automatic card renewal, and after every payment a tax invoice receipt is sent automatically by email. The full breakdown is on the pricing page, and a broader comparison of the management routes is on the how much social media management costs page.
- Basic: 149 a month, 399 for three months, 700 for half a year, 1,250 for a year
- Pro: 298 a month, 798 for three months, 1,400 for half a year, 2,500 for a year
- Extra: 447 a month, 1,199 for three months, 2,100 for half a year, 3,750 for a year
- There are two differences between Basic and Pro: paid campaign management, included in Pro and Extra, and My media storage, 75MB on Basic against 135MB on Pro
- Extra adds on top of Pro up to 3 connected accounts of each channel type and 250MB of My media storage
- Everything is paid up front for the whole period, with no automatic card renewal
- A media budget, if you run one, is paid by you directly to Meta, with no percentage to us
| Management route | What is typically included | Payment structure, and what to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Ad agency | Strategy, creative, campaign management, reports | A monthly retainer, sometimes plus a percentage of the media budget. Ask whether the percentage exists, and what happens to the price when you raise the budget |
| Freelancer | Campaign management and usually the posts too | A monthly amount by scope. Ask how many posts and how many campaigns are included per month, and what happens when you need more |
| Yourself in the ads manager | Everything is on you | Only the media budget to Meta, plus your time |
| Kampi | Basic: a content plan, creatives for approval and organic publishing on a schedule. Pro: all of that plus paid campaign management. Extra: everything in Pro with expanded capacity | A fixed subscription by plan and period, Basic from 149 a month, Pro from 298 and Extra from 447, with no percentage of the budget and no automatic renewal |
What the Basic plan includes and what the Pro and Extra plans add
Let us be precise here, because this is a page about paid and it is important you know exactly what you are buying.
The Basic plan is the full organic side: it builds a content plan, produces the creatives in four formats (Instagram post, reel, story and Facebook post), waits for your approval, and publishes on the schedule you set. It is the system that keeps your page alive and consistent.
The Pro plan includes the whole Basic plan, and adds what this page is about: a full center for creating and managing paid campaigns from the board. The campaign is created in your ad account in a paused state, and activation, where spending begins, happens only with your explicit approval. The Extra plan includes everything in Pro, and adds capacity: up to 3 connected accounts of each channel type and 250MB of My media storage. The media budget itself is still paid by you directly to Meta, from your ad account, and we do not take a percentage of it. The ad account, the Facebook page and the Instagram account remain in your full ownership, so there is no dependence binding you to us.
And why the organic side matters in every plan. Because it is what determines whether the money on media will work. A campaign brings new people to the page, and what they see there is your regular posts. A page whose last post is from half a year ago burns a large part of the budget before you even started. So the Pro and Extra plans do not just open the paid tools, they run them on top of a living organic system.
- Basic: a content plan, creatives in four formats, approval and scheduled publishing
- Pro: everything in Basic, plus a full paid campaigns center run from the board
- Extra: everything in Pro, with up to 3 connected accounts of each channel type and 250MB of My media storage
- The media budget is paid by you directly to Meta in every plan, with no percentage to us
- The page, the account and the ad account are in your ownership anyway, with no dependence on us
The creative bank: what you have in hand when deciding to run
The biggest pain in paid advertising for a small business is not the money, but the material. You are ready to pay, and then discover you have no good photo, no text, and nobody to write. The campaign gets pushed off by two weeks over three lines of text.
In Kampi the creatives get produced anyway as part of the content plan, in four formats: Instagram post, reel, story and Facebook post. Every item has text and a visual. Before approval you can request an alternative, and also edit the text and the image. What there is not is free-form editing of the design itself, so if something does not fit, the right move is to request an alternative and not try to arrange the creative by hand. Creation takes two steps: you pick a format, then one of three routes, media from your library, automatic selection from what already exists, or a fresh design.
Into the media library you upload photos and videos from the computer, or scan a QR code and upload straight from your phone. It sounds small and it saves a lot, because most of a small business's photos are taken on the phone and live there. In addition there is a brand kit with the logo, the colors and the tone, so the material looks like yours and not like a generic template.
The practical result is that on the day you run a paid campaign, whether through the Pro plan or in Meta's ads manager yourself, you already have an approved bank of materials you know, and do not need to start it from zero. A full breakdown of how the content work goes is on the Facebook and Instagram management page.
Automatic publishing on Facebook: what is automatic and what stays in your control
Automatic publishing on Facebook is a phrase that sounds like someone taking your steering wheel. With us that is not the case, and we prefer to spell out exactly where the line runs.
Automatic with us means building the content plan, producing the creatives, and the publishing itself on schedule after you approved. Meaning you do not need to remember to publish on Thursday morning, and do not need to sit and write. What stays in your control is the important thing, the approval. No item goes live before you said yes.
There is a screen called Live now, which shows what is live right now, with a clock for stories. A Facebook post can be removed from the channel if you changed your mind. Instagram content, a post, reel or story, cannot be deleted through the system, because the permission to delete on the account's behalf is not approved for us at Meta yet. Removal is done from the Instagram app, and a story also comes down on its own after 24 hours. That is a real limitation and we say it up front, because better to know before approving than after.
And on the other side of privacy too. We do not read private messages and do not collect followers. The tool manages publishing, not your customer relationships.
- Automatic: a content plan, creative production, and publishing on the schedule you set
- In your control: the format, the publishing days and hour, and the approval of every item before it goes out
- A Facebook post can be removed from the channel
- Instagram content is removed from the Instagram app. A story comes down on its own after 24 hours
- No reading of private messages and no collecting of followers
How to know whether the campaign paid back the investment
Let us start with the honest part. The Performance room in Kampi does not give you money numbers. It gathers what actually went out: how many publishing days each content campaign had, how many creatives went out and in which formats, filtered by Facebook or Instagram. Alongside it, the publishing journal shows per-post metrics for every creative that went out, and no screen shows reach numbers that did not come from Meta. When there is no real data, the screen says so instead of showing a pretty chart.
For the financial numbers of a paid campaign, meaning cost per result, clicks and actual spend, the place is Meta's ads manager. The campaign runs in your account anyway, so all that data sits with you and you do not depend on us to see it. The reach and engagement data of the organic posts is also there, in Meta's insights, for free.
And the third measure, which in our view is the most important for a small business, sits in your own business. How many phone calls came in this week, how many WhatsApp messages, how many people said I saw you. Write down the number for the week before the campaign and the number for the week after. It is rough, but it is real, and it is what actually decides whether to continue.
What you do with those conclusions is your decision. You change the frequency, the hour and the content type in the plan. The system does not learn from previous rounds and does not tune itself, and we will not present it otherwise.
What the screen lacks, and how to work around it
We prefer to gather the limits in one place, so you do not discover them along the way. That is also the difference between us and whoever sells you everything and then explains.
Paid campaign management is included in the Pro and Extra plans, and not in the Basic plan. If you are on the Basic plan, everything related to the campaign, from setup to stopping and budget changes, is done in Meta's ads manager in your own account. In all plans per-post metrics appear in the publishing journal, and the financial numbers of paid campaigns are in Meta's ads manager. There is no carousel format and no free-form editing of the design. What there is, is four formats to choose from, three creation routes of which one is a completely fresh design, and the option to edit text and image or request an alternative before approval.
And in addition, to remove any doubt, the system manages publishing on Facebook and Instagram only. There is no TikTok, LinkedIn, Google or YouTube here. If you are looking for a tool that manages all the networks, we are not it. If most of your audience is in these two networks anyway, the focus works in your favor. According to the Israel Internet Association's social media usage survey from July 2025, 88 percent of adults in Israel report using Facebook and 81 percent report using Instagram, so for most businesses it is a reasonable starting point. Still, your specific audience is the one that decides, and it is worth checking where your customers really are before paying for reach.
Frequently asked questions
We gathered here the questions that come up with small businesses weighing whether to move to paid and how it works with us. If something does not appear here, there is a full help center, and you can simply call and ask.

Questions and answers
Do you set up the paid campaign for me
Yes, in the Pro and Extra plans, and from the board itself: you pick a creative, an audience and a budget, and the system builds the campaign in your ad account in a paused state. Activation, where spending begins, happens only with your explicit approval in the board. The media budget itself goes from you directly to Meta with no middleman, and we do not take a percentage of it, so all the history and data stay with you. The Basic plan runs the organic side only, and if you are on it you will set up the campaign in Meta's ads manager yourself.
How much money in total should I prepare for a first month
Depends on the plan. The Basic plan, which runs the organic system, is 149 shekels a month. The Pro plan, which also includes paid campaign management, is 298 shekels a month. The Extra plan, which adds capacity on top of Pro, is 447 shekels a month. In all cases it is paid up front. If you run a media budget in Meta's ads manager, that is a completely separate amount that you decide on and pay directly to Meta, and we do not take a percentage of it.
What happens if in the middle of the campaign I want to stop or lower the budget
If you are on the Pro or Extra plan, you pause the campaign or update the budget yourself from the board, in one click. The action runs against Meta and is verified before the board shows it as done. If you are on the Basic plan, that is an action you perform in Meta's ads manager in your own account, where you have full control. In any case the media budget goes from you directly to Meta, and you control how much is spent.
I published an Instagram story by mistake, can it be deleted
Not through the system, and that is true for an Instagram post and reel as well. Deleting Instagram content is not available from inside Kampi yet, so removal is done from the Instagram app. A story also comes down on its own after 24 hours. A Facebook post, on the other hand, can be removed from the channel. That is why there is an approval stage before every publication, and it is worth using it seriously.
Do I see on your screen how much each post earned
Per-post metrics, reach, clicks, likes and comments, appear in the publishing journal above every creative that went out. The Performance room shows campaign-level summaries, publishing days, number of creatives and formats, filtered by channel. The financial numbers of a paid campaign, like spend and cost per result, you will see in Meta's ads manager in your own account.
I do not have professional photos of the products, does that block me
Not necessarily. You can upload photos and videos from the computer or scan a QR code and upload straight from your phone, and that is enough for most small businesses. Note that a reel needs video. In addition there are three creation routes, and one of them is a fresh design that does not rely on an existing photo. The brand kit with the logo and colors makes sure the result looks like yours, and before approval you can edit the text and the image or request an alternative.
Does the subscription renew by itself on the card after a month
No. There is no automatic card renewal, not on Basic, not on Pro and not on Extra. You pay up front for the whole period, and when it ends you decide whether to continue, and that is an active decision of yours. After every payment a tax invoice receipt is sent automatically by email.
Do you also manage TikTok, LinkedIn or Google
No. Kampi manages publishing on Facebook and Instagram only, and there are no other networks. That is a product decision, not a gap we plan to close. If you need multi-channel management, we are not the right tool for you. If your question is broader and touches on the ongoing social media management, there is a dedicated page.
First a living page, then money on media
The most sensible way to start is to pick a plan. The Basic plan at 149 shekels a month runs the organic system, where you build a content plan, approve creatives as post, reel and story, and see what a page publishing at a fixed pace looks like. The Pro plan at 298 shekels a month adds a full paid campaigns center, so you run the paid side from the board on top of a living organic system. The Extra plan at 447 shekels a month adds on top of Pro up to 3 connected accounts of each channel type and 250MB of My media storage. In any case the media budget is paid by you directly to Meta, and you arrive at the campaign with a ready bank of materials instead of a blank page. Everything is paid up front and with no automatic card renewal, so you enter no long commitment. All the plans are gathered on the pricing page, and if there is a question before paying you can call 054-5082696 or write to info@kampi.co.il.
